INTEGRATIVE & SOMATIC THERAPY IN NEW YORK

Care that’s made for you.

At Noema Integrative Wellness, we provide integrative and somatic therapy for adults in New York navigating anxiety, substance use and recovery, trauma, relationship patterns, and the ways they’ve learned to cope.

So much of what we struggle with, including anxiety, perfectionism, shame, numbing, and disconnection, can develop around the ways we’ve learned to adapt, protect ourselves, or become who we thought we were supposed to be.

Therapy isn’t about molding you into a more acceptable version of yourself. It’s about understanding the patterns that once helped you cope, reconnecting with parts of yourself you may have learned to suppress, and creating new ways of living that feel more intentional, embodied, and true to you.

WE DO MORE THAN JUST TALK.

Psychodynamic · Somatic · Mindfulness · Relational · Creative & Experiential

MORE THAN TALK THERAPY

Sometimes insight isn’t enough to create change.

You can understand exactly why you respond the way you do and still find yourself repeating the same pattern.

That’s because our experiences don’t live only in our thoughts. They can also show up in the body, relationships, emotions, urges, behaviors, and automatic responses.

At Noema, therapy may involve conversation, but it can also include noticing what is happening in your body, practicing new responses in real time, using mindfulness, exploring imagery or creative expression, and finding ways to experience something differently rather than only understanding it intellectually.

CREATIVE & EXPERIENTIAL THERAPY

Not everything that needs to be expressed begins with words.

Creative approaches that incorporate art can provide another way into experiences that are difficult to explain, intellectualize, or fully access through conversation alone.

Depending on what feels useful to you, therapy may incorporate imagery, metaphor, visual expression, journaling, movement, or other experiential exercises.

You do not need to be “artistic.” The goal isn’t to create something beautiful. Creative work can simply help make internal experiences more visible, offer a different perspective, and give expression to something that may be difficult to put into words.

Sometimes creating, moving, or noticing can reveal something that talking around the same problem cannot.

CHOOSING DIFFERENTLY

Awareness creates
the opportunity to choose.

Many of the patterns we want to change once served a purpose.

Avoiding conflict may have helped you feel safe. Perfectionism may have created a sense of control. Numbing may have offered relief when emotions felt overwhelming. Substances may have helped quiet anxiety, create connection, or temporarily make life feel more manageable.

Notice. Understand. Regulate.
Choose. Practice. Create.

Therapy gives us space to understand these patterns without judgment and then begin practicing different ways of regulating, relating, expressing ourselves, setting boundaries, tolerating discomfort, and making choices that reflect who we are becoming.

RECOVERY BEYOND ABSTINENCE

Getting sober can create space for a different kind of work.

For many people, recovery eventually becomes about more than stopping the use of a substance. Once life becomes more stable, questions can emerge around identity, anxiety, relationships, shame, belonging, purpose, and the coping patterns that existed long before substances became part of the picture.

Therapy can offer a place to explore those deeper layers, including what substances once helped you manage, what feels difficult without them, and what kind of life you want to build moving forward.

At Noema, I work with adults who are ready for this deeper stage of recovery: strengthening emotional awareness, understanding old patterns, rebuilding relationships, and creating a life that feels meaningful, connected, and sustainable.
