About Me
Hi, I’m Georgette
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York working with individuals who appear to hold it all together on the outside, while internally feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, and overall disconnected from themselves.
I specialize in anxiety, people-pleasing, burnout, and complicated relationships with coping patterns such as alcohol use and other forms of emotional numbing. Many of the people I work with are high-achieving, thoughtful, and deeply caring, yet find themselves stuck in cycles of overthinking, self-criticism, and the persistent feeling that they are never quite enough.
I believe therapy should feel individualized and collaborative. No two people are the same, which means no two therapy sessions should be either. My approach integrates different therapeutic interventions based on your unique needs, personality, and goals.
A session with me may begin with grounding practices or meditation to help us slow down and reconnect with the present moment. From there, we create space for whatever feels most important to you that day. As we talk, I may help identify patterns, gently challenge unhelpful narratives, or guide you toward new ways of understanding yourself and your experiences.
MEET GEORGETTE
Therapy that goes
beyond insight.
I’m Georgette Maidiotis, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and the founder of Noema Integrative Wellness.
I work with adults who may understand themselves deeply and still feel stuck in the same patterns. You may know where your anxiety comes from, recognize the ways you cope, or understand why certain relationships affect you so strongly, yet still find that insight alone hasn’t created the change you’re looking for.
That’s why my approach to therapy goes beyond conversation.
WHO I WORK WITH
Support for recovery, anxiety, trauma, and recurring patterns.
Explore our specialties →I work with adults navigating substance use recovery, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, perfectionism, a tendency to please others, emotional overwhelm, and recurring patterns that feel hard to break, so you can create a life that feels more grounded, connected, and true to you.
MY APPROACH
We do more than just talk.
I take an integrative approach to therapy that connects mind and body, drawing from psychodynamic therapy, somatic work, approaches rooted in mindfulness, practical coping strategies, and experiential interventions. This allows us to explore the deeper roots of what you’re experiencing, while also building the tools and awareness you need for lasting change.
Psychodynamic.
Explore how past experiences and unconscious patterns shape your present.
Somatic.
Reconnect with your body’s wisdom and create a greater sense of safety and regulation.
Mindfulness.
Build awareness, compassion for yourself, and a greater capacity to be present in your life.
Practical & Experiential.
Develop tools, practice new ways of being, and create meaningful change through experience.
TRAINING & CLINICAL BACKGROUND
Advanced training that
supports healing for the whole person.
I’ve had the privilege of working across private practice, intensive outpatient treatment, addiction and recovery settings, care in hospitals, and community mental health. These experiences have shaped my holistic, compassionate, and practical approach to therapy.
My advanced training includes:
- Art therapy
- Somatic therapy for trauma
- Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
I continue to deepen my training through ongoing education and professional development.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ME
Warm, engaged therapy with depth.
I bring warmth, curiosity, and genuine care to my work. I’m collaborative and active in helping you notice patterns, slow things down, and translate insight into meaningful change. Clients often tell me they feel truly seen, supported, and challenged in a way that feels both safe and real.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
Creativity, movement, and curiosity are a big part of who I am.
Before becoming a therapist, my background included the creative arts, and that part of me still deeply influences the way I think about healing.
I’ve always been drawn to the parts of people that don’t fit neatly into a box: the ways we express ourselves, the identities we grow into, and the choices we make when we stop trying to live according to someone else’s version of who we should be.
Outside of my clinical work, I love dance, art, travel, and learning about different cultures and ways of living. I’ve traveled to 20 countries and counting, and those experiences have continued to shape the way I think about identity, belonging, perspective, and what it means to create a life that feels genuinely your own.
I believe that choosing to be different can mean letting go of who we think we should be and making choices that feel more true to who we are.
“A life that feels good on the inside, not just one that looks good on the outside.”

Alongside traditional talk therapy, I incorporate somatic and creative approaches when helpful, including mindfulness, body awareness, and expressive interventions such as art therapy. Sometimes talking alone can only take us so far. I believe healing involves reconnecting with our bodies, emotions, and parts of ourselves we may have learned to disconnect from over time.
Above all interventions, the relationship I have with my clients comes first. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, challenged when needed, and genuinely supported.
This work is not about becoming someone different. It’s about reconnecting with yourself in a more grounded, compassionate, and honest way.
I offer virtual therapy sessions in both English and Greek.
When you’re ready, I’d love to connect.

“Whether it’s hip-hop class or traditional Greek dancing, movement has always been my first language.”
I’ve explored 25 countries and counting — but there’s something about Greece that always feels like coming home.”
“Art is actually what brought me to this field, and it still grounds me — there’s nothing quite like losing yourself in color and movement on a canvas.”
